Okay, so this is a mood board
which shows my reference material for the project I talked about in my last
post. Naturally, J. C. Leyendecker’s work for The Saturday Evening Post is a
stand out source of inspiration for me when illustrating a romantic Christmas,
as it should be for anyone. I’m going to take bits and pieces from these images
and make something which looks a little more contemporary and a
little more tactile into Christmas cards. I want to keep the
warm, festive feeling of Leyendecker’s original illustrations.
